What’s a chapter of your life you’d title “The Hard Years” — and what got you through it?
Surrounding myself with positive and understanding family and friends. Having a great network of people supporting me over the up and downs running my retail business.
I had a relationship that was a bad choice for me and it used up all my energy. I knew I would be happier on my own so I separated from that person. The ending was quite complicated but I had enough people around me to distract my attention, two pets and an entertaining job. I suffered but I learned certain things. After that, I had my best years, during which I met my current partner.
