    My family and closest friends are the biggest influences in my life. My grandfather used to say show me who you are hanging around with the most and I can tell you who you are.Show me your friends, and I can tell you who you are. This is so true.     1971 was a year marked by major world events like the start of the Bangladesh Liberation War, the Attica Prison  and Apollo 14’s moon landing. Musically, it was huge with releases like Marvin Gaye’s ‘What’s Going On’ and films like A Clockwork Orange. In the US, the 26th Amendment lowered the voting age to 18. In Australia, Neville Bonner became the first Indigenous Senator. What a year.
